Introduction I previously published my analysis of how Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and its results depend on the results of the company’s largest competitor, Samsung (OTCPK:SSNLF). At that time, on February 1, 2022, I analyzed the Korean company’s report and concluded that Apple will most likely not be able to beat analysts’ forecasts and that Apple CEO Tim Cook will likely disappoint investors with his guidance. As time has shown, that’s precisely what happened. And that EPS miss has become the first one in recent years. Seeking Alpha data [author’s compilation and note] It’s been a little over 2 months since…

Parents invest so much of themselves, emotionally and financially, in raising their children — but the time comes when a parent has to stop subsidizing their adult children’s everyday expenses. A new survey from Bankrate found that Gen Z adults (between the ages of 18 and 26) think parents should slow their roll on when to stop paying for them. Take housing. Gen Z adults said…

The Biden administration’s sweeping plan to cancel up to $20,000 in student debt for tens of millions of Americans may have an unintended, though hopefully temporary, consequence for some people, experts say.”For many borrowers, it will cause their credit scores to drop,” said higher education expert Mark Kantrowitz. Here’s why: Throughout the three-year pause on federal student loan payments, borrowers’ accounts have been reported to the credit bureaus as current, Kantrowitz said. Artist, writer, and social welfare advocate (and agitator in a good sense) Molly Crabapple recently had an article in The Nation called “The Revolution Against Shady Landlords Has Begun.” It’s an ongoing movement in New York City by many renters and advocates to change laws that would give some leverage to tenants in a housing crisis. As of 2017, almost two-thirds of all housing units in the city were rented by tenants. Half of those tenants spent at least 30% of their income on housing, a figure from city government that defines the category of being rent-burdened. A third of…
