If you’ve ever experienced a sunburn, you understand how even the smallest touch to sunburned skin can be excruciating. Even wearing clothing can be agonizing. Sunburns make your skin hyper-sensitive, so that normal circumstances trigger exacerbated reactions.
Your life can become sunburned as well. We often get into a routine in life, where we wake up, work, handle family obligations, rinse and repeat. Hitting one bad day within that routine isn’t a sunburned life. A sunburned life is more akin to when you realize that the little things that shouldn’t bother you, are all that bother you now, and your temper is short for no reason, and you often can’t even pinpoint the source of your pain. If you’re waking up exhausted and going to sleep exhausted with no end in sight, then your life has become sunburned.
Identifying Paint Points And Making Changes
Once your life has hit the sunburned phase, it’s time to identify the pain point and make changes. What caused the sunburn in the first place? Sometimes it is your environment, either at work or at home. It may also be the people that you surround yourself with. Or, you could simply be burnt out and need a rest.
The good news is that once you identify your pain points and begin to make changes, your sunburn starts to heal and the hypersensitivity goes away. When you’re not in a miserable work environment or home environment, the other aspects of your life are more tolerable as well. When you remove the toxic people impacting your life, you can handle the inconveniences in your day.
This all goes a long way in improving your happiness, which is a key part in your overall wealth. Wealth is more than just the money you have in the bank, but also how satisfied you are with your life, and how much you enjoy it. Don’t spend your life being sunburnt, but spend it healing and happy.
