Powered by positive growth for shares of Intel and Microsoft, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Wednesday morning. The Dow DJIA was most recently trading 175 points, or 0.5%, higher, as shares of Intel INTC and Microsoft MSFT have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Intel’s shares are up $0.96 (2.2%) while those of Microsoft have climbed $5.87 (1.6%), combining for a roughly 45-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Home Depot HD, 3M MMM, and Procter & Gamble PG. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
